Company Summary:Since launching our business in May 2018, The Daly Bagel has sought to provide authentic East-Coast style bagels to the Greater Oak Park area. Our bagels are carefully crafted, boiled then bakedfor the perfect texture and chew. In April 2020 (in the middle of the pandemic), we opened ourbrick and mortar location at 130 Chicago Ave in Oak Park – where we have been warmly embracedby the community. Due to the growing demand for our product, we are looking to expand our teamof friendly, hard working, and self-motivated individuals – specifically looking for individuals with priorcommercial kitchen and/or bakery experience who can effectively operate in our kitchen.Team Member Skills and Expectations: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Become knowledgeable about our menu - including preparation methods of our food, sourcing of ingredients, and allergen information. Respond to customer questions, complaints and compliments. Bag bagel and other pastries for customers. Prepare bagel sandwiches according to our recipes. Assist in preparation of bagel dough, pastries and other Back of House operations including but not limited to Boil and Baking Bagels Cream Cheese Prepping other ingredients for other menu items. Dish washing Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures. Maintain Appearance and cleanliness of the store Assist in daily store set up and closing, restocking and rotating products by date Team Member Requirements and Qualifications: Maintain a friendly and outgoing attitude in a noisy, fast-paced environment. Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. Availability and flexibility for a schedule that includes early morning/opening shifts, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of basic mathematics for kitchen/business usage. Ability to remain standing, often in a stationary position, for extended periods of time. Ability to move safely throughout the space (including navigating slippery surfaces), reach, bend, crouch, and lift up to 60 lbs. Barista experience a plus :)
